Skanska nabs $435M Florida hospital, medical office job

Sweden-based developer and contractor Skanska has won a $435 million contract to construct a new hospital and medical office building for Lee Health, the builder announced Oct. 29. The Fort Myers, Florida, project will include construction of a roughly 416,000-square-foot, five-story hospital and a 125,000-square-foot medical office building with an ambulatory surgery center. The project scope includes a central energy plant a rehabilitation gymnasium and specialty clinics, Skanska said.
