BlueOval Battery Park Michigan on Track for 2026 Production Start
BlueOval Battery Park Michigan is on schedule to begin producing lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries in 2026 for Ford’s upcoming electric vehicles. Ford has recently received a revised incentive offer from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s Michigan Strategic Fund, reflecting the updated scope of the project as announced last November. The agency has also adjusted its incentives for another job-creation initiative involving multiple Ford facilities in Michigan, originally announced in June 2022 and later revised to include a
new shift at the Michigan Assembly Plant, incorporating employees from the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center.

Gilbane begins construction on $410M Florida hospital complex
Providence, Rhode Island-based Gilbane Building Co. began construction on March 21 for a $410 million project to replace the existing Cape Canaveral Hospital in Brevard County, Florida, the company announced. Situated on Florida’s Space Coast near the Atlantic Ocean, the new facility is designed to withstand Category 4 hurricanes and will be elevated 13 feet above sea level to protect against storm surges.
